A cheque spreadsheet that never matches the bank statement. A cheque bounces, and the customer still shows as paid. Nobody knows which cheques fall due this week. Customer cheques are endorsed to suppliers with no entry in the books.
The books say the invoice is open, and the cheque is in the drawer. Post-dated cheques are an everyday payment method in Jordan and the Gulf, and Odoo has no built-in way to manage them.

In the portfolio, deposited, cleared. Every status change posts its own entry.
Cheques issued
Issued, then cashed. Or returned, and the amount is owed to the supplier again.
Endorsement
Endorse a customer cheque to pay a supplier, with the entry in the books.
Bounced cheques
The customer invoice reopens and the original payment stays as it was. Nothing is deleted.
Batch deposit
Pick the cheques due this week and post one bank entry.
Reports
Cheque register, maturity analysis, cheques on customer statements (Enterprise) and printed receipts. Full Arabic interface.
